Artist, Sandy Jam's workspace with desk, Watercolor palette, paint, markers and framed Watercolor paintings on white shelving.

Hi there! I’m Sandy Jam and I’m a Watercolorist from Singapore.

My childhood days were spent doodling, drawing and painting. It was an enchanting world for me as I explored and experimented with art freely.

Watercolour painting was first introduced to me by Singapore artist, Mr. Tan Kay Nguan, when I was 10 years of age. At the first instance of painting with watercolours, I fell in love with it; mesmerized by its beauty and playfulness.

Although it has been quite some time, I vividly remember I sat still for hours, eager to just complete a watercolour painting. Painting with watercolours as a kid back then allowed me to express my creativity and it trained me to focus intentionally on a task at hand.

As an adult today, I continue to pursue my interest in watercolour painting. Loose abstract floral are my go to subject matter for watercolour painting, especially abstract roses.

Apart from putting in the hours to practice painting, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and learning from other local artists as well, such as Mr Tham Pui San, Mr. Art Foo (Foo Kwee Horng) and Mr. Nam Siang, just to name a few.

Follow me along my journey of creativity and the appreciation of nature captured in vibrant and bold watercolours.

I hope you enjoy viewing my portfolio.
